Johanna brings over 20 years of experience in developing strategic partnerships, influencing policy, and securing substantial funding for global and domestic health initiatives.
Her career spans 15 years in the NFP sector, specifically in women's health (International Planned Parenthood Federation, MSI International, Lifeblood) the federal Australian Government (AusAID), and most recently, in the private sector (Besins Healthcare), where she successfully placed menopause on the national agenda, resulting in $224 million in government funding for menopause-specific initiatives.
Johanna is passionate about healthy equity and access, and using evidence and data to drive policy decisions and enable change. She is excited to bring this lens to IGH's important work, and support a broader audience using the incredible resources that IGH have developed.
Johanna currently consults, working with health organisations that align with her feminist values, is the part-time CEO of recently revitalised not-for-profit the Australian Healthy Ageing Organisation and is a co-founder of an exciting start-up called Lorai Health, who want to bring menopause hormone therapy patches into the 21st century for a superior, safe, sustained and irritation free MHT.
